Editorial Services

Firstly - congratulations! Finishing a book is a massive achievement, so allow yourself time to celebrate in the best way you see fit. You deserve it! Once you've come back down to earth and caught up on that sleep you're no doubt in desperate need of, you'll be thinking of the next step - editing. Ugh!! But never fear - this is the fun part! And I'm here to help you. My aim is for you to enjoy even this aspect of the writing journey, comfortable in the knowledge that your author's voice will stay true to you, only elevated.
I edit most fiction writing and particularly enjoy romance (all sub-genres), women's fiction, paranormal, and suspense/thrillers. I work in Word, using Track Changes so it is easy to follow and see any suggestions I may have made.
The majority of work I edit is aimed at the American market, therefore, is edited using US Spelling, but I am equally comfortable working in UK Spelling if that is your preference.

Just in case you're wondering - Why 'The Accidental Editor'? . . .
Once upon a time, I helped an editing friend get through her backlog of work. It snowballed and turned into a part-time editing business of my own, which to my delight, I've discovered I love. Words are a passion of mine - whether that is writing my own stories, or helping other authors' stories shine. Each story I work on leaves a lasting impression with me, and I always feel privileged to have been a small part of each book's journey into the hands of readers.
Prices are in US currency and payment is made via PayPal after work is completed.
